Buenos Aires, April 3 (NA) – The Chief of Staff, Manuel Adorni, has hired a lawyer for the case investigating his private plane flight to Punta del Este, as confirmed by the Noticias Argentinas news agency. This is the law firm of attorney Matías Ledesma, clarified Adorni's entourage in response to an NA inquiry. The case is being handled in the federal court of Ariel Lijo. The judiciary is advancing the investigation into other possible trips with a focus on the financing of the transfers. Days ago, Lijo ordered a series of raids, at the request of prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita, to collect documentation on flights made between Buenos Aires and Punta del Este during the Carnival holiday alongside journalist Marcelo Grandio. In this context, officers from the Airport Security Police (PSA) carried out procedures last week at the air taxi company Alpha Centauri S.A., where they sought accounting, commercial, and banking information linked to the flights under analysis. The investigation aims to determine who financed the transfers and if there was any irregularity, in a case that analyzes possible crimes such as embezzlement or bribes to public officials. The justice system has imposed restraining measures against Marcelo Grandio. The file has also been expanded to include other possible flights and related operations, while records, billing, and economic movements associated with the trips are being analyzed. The case has added new evidence and testimonies that could complicate the official's situation, amidst contradictions about the origin of the funds used to cover the transfers. The progress of the judicial file increases pressure on the government's inner circle, in a case that combines the use of private flights, ties with third parties, and the analysis of the financing of public officials' activities.
